Some Reviews on Amazon
Like the healer she is, Karen Wade refreshingly gives to the world a gift for healing on all levels with wisdom she brings love and light for healing not only to the (individual) person, but creates ripples out to our time-honored profession and to the world.
Articulate and direct, the author opens her own expertise as a nurse as well as her personally excruciating moments without getting stuck there. Instead she uses these experiences as tinder for her creative, compassionate brilliance in producing a real handbook brokered by experience, education, research and a pragmatic format.
This book is a beautiful gift. Accessible, straightforward and a wonderful balance of research, guidance and insight based on vast experience. The tools available here can be helpful in many professions, particularly those that are demanding, heartfelt and service-oriented.
This book offers a positivity-based approach in life, both in the professional and personal arenas. Karen Wade connects with the reader and her compassion is clearly evident throughout the book.

Support for Nurses during COVID-19
With the advent of pandemic, Karen felt an urgency to support the nurses on the frontlines of the pandemic who were under unprecedented stress. She approached other highly experienced nurses who felt the same way. Nurse2Nurse Network was born with the mission of providing a free support and mentoring service to nurses on the frontlines and for new nurses entering a healthcare system in crisis. Experienced nurses provide compassionate listening from someone who knows what being a nurse on a very bad day is like. This allows nurses working in the COVID-19 environment to unburden themselves of their intense experiences and emotions to someone who is non-judgmental, knowledgeable and emotionally neutral (vs family/friends/colleagues).
